Cartoon Exercise

Picked Scenario for assessment for learning outcomes 2 & 3 in bitmaps and vectors. This image is a practice for something that i could do with some of the images that i intend to collect this weekend. I have a rough idea for what i intend to do with the pictures and i feel that the cartoon image scenario makes it easier to do.

a couple of images here using the pen tool and multiple layers, especially for the pumpkin using original pictures for templates almost.

the second image is the french landmark arc de triumphe

Basic manipulations were
applied today in class.

in the 1st image it was resized, cropped, desaturation was applied. plus also a history pallete was used to pick up the colour from the original image.


The graveyard image uses an overlay from another image plus a simple quick mask on the gravestone itself, with the rest being the original image.

The final image is just the 1st one but with another new layer added with a gradient applied.

Still feel a bit confused and the exercise did not make it easy to understand the techniques that were to be applied.

29/9/09 pt2

Some other random pieces of work completed as part of bitmap and vector class. A poster for the company safe space is also here. I feel that the broken heart connects with the children that the poster should be aiming for as well as the red should catch there attention as it represents danger usually.

29/9/09 audio & video editing, vector & bitmap

Started work on zoom project in chris video and audio editing class. have gotten enough of an idea to continue work at home. have also uploaded a brief bit of homework completed a few weeks ago for vector and bitmap class.

In this cover art for the band "Muse" the reason the heads were changed to plugs was in reference to one of there songs "Plug In Baby". There is only 3 plugs as there is only 3 members in the band.

16/9/09 web fundementals + user interface

Had web fundamental's today, thought would be ok but am now realizing need to practice alot at home on dreamweaver as need to practice basics. completed some more simple css tasks which will try and practice at home.

no chris today so some simple tasks on fonts for user interface like seeing effect of fonts at different sizes san serif and serif.

8/9/09 Digital Imaging Bitmap & Vector

Made a wordle style document using text in illustrator. Opened This blog in blogger.com . Wordle picture is also attached.
